Join us at the largest arts and crafts market in Merseyside, offering shoppers the chance to buy handmade artwork and gifts in the lead up to Christmas.

Discover work from over 200 artists, designers and makers as we transform the magnificent Grade I Listed St George’s Hall into a vibrant arts village displaying thousands of colourful creations. A wide variety of handmade work will be available including intricate jewellery, original screenprints, paintings, tableware, beauty products, colourful decorations, accessories, textiles, photography, knitwear and much more at prices for all pockets.

There will be lots of different artists and makers selling work on each day of the event!

After your shopping relax and refuel at the café where you’ll find scrumptiously seasonal food and drink including festive food,mulled wine and mince pies!

Amazing Glaze

Adventurers Ahoy!

Taking inspiration from their love of nature and rooting it in their city environment, Young Explorer (aka Liz and Steve) voyage through traditional craft techniques, graph paper, pastel colours and hand finishing to bring you products with wit and fun. Brooches, badges, zines and temporary tattoos showcase their stylised hand drawn illustrations of woodland creatures and giants from the deep blue sea.

Acrylic Wonders

Screen Shot 2013-10-15 at 10.53.49Talented Liverpool based artist Anna Ketskemety creates in a highly unique painting style.The paintings are highly varnished acrylics on board or reclaimed furniture parts, featuring miniature people or animals. We’re really taken with her work which you’ll be able to peruse at the Winter Arts Market this weekend!

Anna’s work can be seen on her website at AnnaKetskemety.com. She is a member of Arena Studios and is a Fine Art Graduate from Liverpool John Moores University.


Winter Marvels

Screen Shot 2013-12-02 at 11.10.28It’s this weekend! We’ll be posting a new artist everyday this week in the lead up to the Winter Arts Market so we are glad to start the week of with the  rather excellent Liverpool artist Michael Snowdon.

Michael’s work is a combination of graphic design and illustration, translated into screen printing and other craft based work. He has also produced album artwork for several notable Liverpool bands, including The Coral.

Quick on the Draw

arrowAn experienced illustrator with over 15 years experience, Liverpool based Chris Rodenhurst’s live drawing has been a part of his practice for many years.
alpacaChris has produced live art at venues including the Everyman, Tate Liverpool and The Bluecoat. This year will be his third as Sketchy Santa at the Walker Art Gallery!

He will include live drawing as part of his offer for the Winter Arts Market. Customers will be able to commission their own posters, hand-drawn christmas cards etc. These items will be drawn live for the customer to take away. One not to be missed at St. George’s Hall this weekend…
