Come along from 12 – 5pm to get folding, learn a simple, beautiful traditional folding technique and help to create an incredible piece of community art.
2019 is Year of the Pig in the Chinese calendar; as part of the annual New Year celebrations, Pagoda Arts Centre is building a gigantic community created ‘Pigsy’ which will be made up of 50,000 lucky money folded paper envelopes – and they need your help!
Everyone is invited to help fold the 50,000 lucky money paper envelopes using traditional Chinese folding techniques such a as lanterns, fishes, cranes and Chinese money.
Once completed, this huge ‘Pigsy’ will go on display in the Museum of Liverpool, set within a beautiful landscape inspired by traditional Chinese landscape ink drawings.
